Trusting is the hardest and difficult thing to do. Trust is a strange concept if you think hard about it. The genuine meaning of trust become lost over the time in the between relationships, work, family, love, and LIFE. Life has its ebbs and orbs. It pushed us and/or strengthen us. Either way, the ability to trust also evolved. It can either become negative or positive- loss of trust and/or trusting easily.
Let’s go back to the basic definition of ‘trust.’ I’ll share an excerpt from online Merriam-Webster:

As you can see that there are few definitions for ‘trust’ but they all shared one thing in common which was having faith in someone with a good character and reliance that they will take care of us. “Assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something” is the basic definition of trust but the keyword is ‘someone or something.‘ To trust means to trust someone or something that they will meet your needs and wants. It is easier said than done, right?! I will explain more in a bit.
Life experiences reminded us that sometimes that trusting someone or something fully can backfire. Those days trust is a hard thing to come by and no one feel safe to TRUST. Does that means you do not have an ability to trust? That’s not the case at all. In order to trust the life process and the Spirit to guide you on your journey, you’ll have to take a leap of faith and trust it. Yes, we had unpleasant or traumatic experiences which pushed us back further into our safe haven or in the other words, comfort zone. Life is passing by as you stay in the haven not trusting the life. You know you cannot live in the haven for the rest of your life and missing the opportunities.
How do you trust again? Let’s go back to that unpleasant moment where someone or something betrayed/lost your trust. That experience was necessary as a part of your personal and spiritual growth. “What!? That was so hurtful! I will never forget it!” I know it was painful but it doesn’t mean you have to forget it. Holding on that heart-shattering experience was what keeping you hostage in that safe haven you’ve created. It does not define who you are or even determine your future. It was a merely lesson for you to recognize and use discernment about who and what to trust. If you think hard about it, it all began with you. Yes, YOU. If you reflect on those experiences, you will be surprised to see that there’s a pattern. You are the denominator to those encounters. It is painful to face the truth in those lessons but I assure you that it will bring you a greater awareness. With a greater awareness, you realized that it came down to not trusting yourself. Not trusting someone or something is a pure reflection of you. That simply means you do not trust yourself. There. That is the common denominator. Ah, let’s breathe for a moment here and gather your thoughts.
Now, think about it that everything in this life is entirely depends on how you react to it. Yes, life can be excruciating at times but it is only temporarily. The storm will pass within time. If you can understand and accept the lesson as a part of your personal and spiritual growth, the storm will be over before you know it! Whatever happens, it does not mean you cannot trust again. It was something for you to remember to rely on your intuition and allow it leads you. No such soul encounters are ever mistakes. If you can see that, you will be able to overcome it and let it go.
You might not be able to forget it- that’s okay but forgive them anyway. Forgiveness is an act of releasing the painful memories from your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. With the huge release from forgiving, you are slowly gaining confidence to re-join life and trust again. Most important of all, trust yourself again. You can trust yourself to give, receive, share, show, and trust someone or something. If you can trust yourself, you will be able to listen to your intuition and trust the Divine messages. With trust in yourself, you are able to make healthy choices in people, circumstances, and decisions. Trusting yourself means you take a leap of faith in someone or something. You might be very surprised that they might reciprocate with something great gifts or opportunities. If it does not happen, that’s okay- move on to the next opportunity. Life is constantly moving. All you can do is moving with Life and living it.
